You have a very unique and recognizable style of design. Where do you draw your inspiration from?

“I get inspiration from daily life, the people and things I surround myself with.  I love walking around the city, being outdoors and interacting with the environment.  The rest I try to let happen naturally.”

How long have you been in Chicago and where is your favorite place to grab a beer?

“I’ve been working in the downtown Chicago area for about 4 years since right after college.  I really like this place in Logan Square, Revolution Brewing, they have a handful of home brewed beers on tap.”

Tell me about ‘What’s More Dangerous?’.

“What’s More Dangerous? (WMD?) launched over the summer of 2011 as a team effort to attended and work music festivals to promote original designs and artwork. We mainly work with customers at music festivals that want to take home and own original art but we are still growing and expanding. The WMD? product line strives to encourage peoples’ awareness of uniquely creative style by spotlighting on limited edition fine art prints, graphic design and jewelry.”

What current projects are you working on?

“Right now, I’m painting a 3-dementional horse for the Barrington Area United Way.  It’s going to be on display all summer in Barrington Illinois and then auctioned off in October.  Also getting ready the summer festival season, I’m going to Wakarusa Camping and Music Festival at the beginning of June to hustle posters, pins and stickers.”

How was it working with Nike?

“Nike is a really cool company and it’s super competitive. During my time there I was lucky enough to work on things like gift card designs, in-store displays and do live painting for a Nike event.  Definitely gained a lot of product knowledge and learned a lot about sales strategies and networking within a large company.”

What was your favorite cartoon growing up?

“Going to have to go with Ninja Turtles, I still have some of the action figures in a box somewhere.”
